I feel
sure that when we meet God face-to-face the
conversation is not going to begin with a list of our failures in loving. God
knows are frailty and
expects that even those who attempt to love
with God’s heart— those
who try to love unselfishly and particularly— will
fall short. Our
failures will not interest God; Our generosity will. Jesus,
who redeems us one by one, will
stand at the gates of paradise, look
gently into our eyes, and ask: “Whom did you bring
